This performance was create during the Venice performance art week where during 10 days I was working together with other artists from all around the world and we were discussing the concept of home, borders, memories and belonging.
By attaching objects to my body and linking them with threads, I created a visual map of memory—an externalized network of personal connections tied to my homeland and to the relationships formed through migration. Each object carried meaning: stories of departure, of belonging, of adaptation. Through this embodied gesture, I made visible the emotional weight of displacement and the way memory lives in both the body and the in-between spaces of identity.
Six years later, I revisited this work in a new version of the performance at Index – The Swedish Contemporary Art Foundation. This reactivation deepens the piece, not as a return, but as a continuation—layered with the lived experience of time passing, of new relationships formed, and of a shifting sense of home.
