Daiane Rafaela

I am a Brazilian transdisciplinary artist whose work focuses on performance, photography and visual arts, currently based in Stockholm, Sweden.

As a migrant and queer artist, the core of my research is the body as a political territory, borders, the concept of home, belonging and otherness, all from a decolonial perspective.

Recent artistic practices have connected me to the concept of radical tenderness, fostering a sense of awareness and a deeper connection to myself, others and the environment. This has led me to embrace ritualistic creative processes and to pursue sharing as an integral part of my work.

Having graduated in Performing Arts at Faculdade de Artes do Paraná (Curitiba, Brazil), I co-founded the Art Collective “Eu Também Quero Um Carrinho de Mercado” (2008) and the Cultural Centre “Casa Selvática” (2012), in Curitiba, Brasil. I’m currently in the first year of my master’s degree in Fine Arts at Konstfack (Stockholm).
